FAQ

What nota de admisión do I need for UAB Vet?
Around 12.0/14 in recent years. This varies year to year depending on demand. Biology and Chemistry EVAU subject weightings (×0.1 or ×0.2) can significantly boost your score.
Is teaching in Spanish or Catalan?
UAB veterinary teaching is bilingual Catalan/Spanish. Most practical and clinical teaching is in Spanish. Some theoretical modules may be in Catalan. Knowledge of basic Catalan is helpful but not compulsory for admission.
Can international students (non-Spanish) apply?
Yes. EU students with equivalent university entrance qualifications can apply through the UNED (national distance university) or direct international admission. Non-EU students follow a separate process. The nota de admisión system applies to all.
Are there MEC scholarships available?
Yes. Public university students in Spain are eligible for MEC (Ministry of Education) income-based grants covering part of tuition and living costs. Apply through becas.mecd.gob.es each September.
