About the school

The Veterinary degree at USC is taught at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on the Lugo Campus (Campus Terra). It is a 5-year public programme (300 ECTS) with Full EAEVE Accreditation (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education) since 2002, guaranteeing EU-wide recognition of the degree.

In 2024, the Xunta de Galicia awarded the Faculty an academic quality excellence seal. The programme offers around 110 first-year places and receives more than 800 applications each year, over half from outside Galicia.

Teaching is bilingual (Spanish and Galician) and is supported by the University Veterinary Hospital Rof Codina, managed through the Fundación Rof Codina.

How much does the USC veterinary degree cost?
It is a public degree and one of the cheapest in Spain: year 1 costs around €836 and the full 5-year degree around €4,179 for EU students. For non-EU students the total is approx. €5,223. Verify current prices at usc.gal.
Are there a teaching hospital and farm for clinical training?
Yes. The University Veterinary Hospital Rof Codina and the Granxa Gayoso Castro experimental farm support all clinical and large-animal training throughout the degree.
