About the school

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) traces its roots to 1847, when the same Royal Decree that established the Córdoba veterinary school also founded the Escuela Subalterna de Veterinaria de Zaragoza. It offers a 5-year Grado en Veterinaria (300 ECTS), taught entirely in Spanish (Castilian).

Located in the heart of the Ebro valley — one of Spain's most important agricultural regions — the faculty is a national reference for livestock medicine and animal health, with particular strength in cattle, pig and sheep medicine, food hygiene and technology. Admission is highly competitive and based entirely on the EBAU/PAU university entrance exam. No interview is required.
