A five-year single-cycle degree (LM-42) accredited by EAEVE at the oldest university in the Western world, with a university veterinary hospital at Ozzano dell'Emilia. From 2025/26 a fully English-taught programme is also available (accreditation in progress).
Enrol in the national filter semester for Veterinary Medicine (≈ €250) and indicate a backup degree. The 2025/26 deadline was 25 July 2025; check the 2026/27 deadline when announced. For the English-taught programme, verify the dedicated procedure at unibo.it.

Attend the first semester (Biology; Chemistry & biochemistry propedeutics; Physics) from September, in mixed delivery mode.
Sit the three national exams (November and December sessions). For the 2025/26 cycle: 20 November and 10 December 2025. A minimum of 18/30 in each is required to enter the national ranking.
Secure a position within the available places in the national merit ranking and complete enrolment within the mandatory deadline (ranking published January 2026 for the 2025/26 cycle; 110 EU + 10 non-EU places for the Italian-taught programme).
