About the school
The single-cycle Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine (LM-42) at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna trains veterinary professionals to European standards at one of Italy's most historically prestigious institutions and the oldest university in the Western world (founded 1088).
The programme holds EAEVE accreditation: in the most recent ESEVT status (November 2025), Bologna is a full member with accreditation valid until March 2031.
From the 2025/26 academic year, the university has also launched a fully English-taught degree programme ("Veterinary Medicine"), with 50 places (45 EU + 5 non-EU), activated upon completion of the ministerial accreditation process (D.M. 599/2025). (Accreditation status of the English-taught programme: TO VERIFY for the current cycle.)
