Volunteer Call for Ortolan Bunting Monitoring 2027
LPO Occitanie is launching volunteer monitoring of Ortolan Bunting populations in Hérault for 2027. Volunteers with strong naturalist knowledge will survey singing males at two key sites (Canyon du Diable and Haut Bitterois) from early May to mid-June. This mission aims to expand data on this poorly documented species in the region, beyond currently monitored protected areas.
