SHOC participatory count 2025-2026
The SHOC is a participatory winter monitoring programme for common birds coordinated by LPO and MNHN since 2014. Volunteers conduct counts on survey plots in December 2025 and January 2026 to document migratory and resident populations. This programme complements the STOC spring survey and provides essential data on the winter survival of species, directly influencing their breeding success. An introduction to the protocol is offered to new participants.
