Become a volunteer monitor for Barn Owl and Little Owl nest boxes in Aude in 2027
As part of the national One Owl One Village project, LPO Occitanie is recruiting volunteers to monitor nest boxes installed in Aude to protect the Little Owl and Barn Owl. These nocturnal raptors, once common in villages, are experiencing concerning decline due to habitat loss. Volunteers will conduct two annual visits from March to July to document nest box occupancy, species present, and fledgling numbers—a beginner-friendly mission performed from a distance with binoculars.
