2027 Window Swallow Nest Census
LPO Occitanie is launching an inventory of Window Swallow nests in Pyrénées-Orientales that goes beyond simple counting. Volunteers photograph building facades in their village to document existing nests, creating a legal database against deliberate destruction. This citizen mobilization aims to protect a legally protected species, with a specific count of occupied nests planned for June.
